About
With nearly three decades in family law, Myra strives to avoid court where possible, driving the settlement of assets through mediation, while maintaining a formidable reputation as a fierce litigator when needed. She is on the short list of attorneys qualified to serve as a "Special Master", which allows her to act as a referee to give opinions to the court on financial issues such as competing business valuations, income analyses, division of personal property, etc. Myra is also able to assist fellow attorneys as a consultant on their complex financial cases. All of this is rooted in Myra’s strong financial background and the desire to assist the court in resolutions that minimize conflict for families.
As one of only 200 Certified Family Law Specialists (CLS-F) in San Diego County, a designation which denotes specialized expertise in this area of family law, Myra has a diverse background. Prior to becoming a family law attorney, Myra worked in civil litigation, 10 years in public accounting which included time as the controller of an international mid-sized software company. This has formed her approach that uses a rare, powerful mix of legal, financial, and psychological expertise and insight to arrive at options and solutions for you to realize a vision for your future – in ways others can’t.
Myra’s decades in family law have shown her that people are typically still stuck in the pattern of their marriage as they are trying to deal with their divorce. She leverages this unique perspective and ability to give clarity on where your legal decisions may be stuck as part of the dynamic of the marriage, not part of what is best for you getting through your divorce process.
